Who is couples therapy for?

Maybe your relationship started with fireworks and huge displays of love. Maybe it started out of comfort and ease. Whatever got you together, it can often be forgotten in time. It isn’t always enough to save each other in an argument.

Do you feel like you are pushing each other’s buttons? Being ignored, being pushed around? Do you question why your partner’s reactions are too big, or too small? Does it make you feel like questioning yourself and what you are doing in this relationship? Couples therapy might be for you.

Couples therapy is for those who are looking for growth, improvement, and healing in their relationship. It can help you clarify what you want from your relationship, and give you the words and space to communicate that to your partner.

How does couples therapy work?

Our work begins by ensuring both members of the couple feel safe, and that the couple and therapist have the same goals for couple or marriage therapy. We will talk about your relationship and where you find yourselves getting stuck. 

We will go beyond the argument of the week. We will look at the deeper patterns you are stuck in, bring them to light, and take the control back to have the relationship you have dreamed of. 

My role is as a guide, coach, and facilitator to help you and your partner do what you already know how to do: love each other.
